WELCOME - AND A WORD ON THE DEATH OF CLONING
Welcome to Phase II of our website, where we celebrate the triumph of ethical stem cell research, and work towards repeal of laws that permit cloning and experimentation on human embryos.
The 'iPS' revolution in stem cell science in November 2007, which rendered cloning redundant, was called "an earthquake for both the science and ethics of stem cells". That earthquake has created a rupture so radical that we need to divide our web information into 'pre-iPS' and 'post-iPS'.
The relevant material from 2003 to 2007 remains the foundation of our argument for ethical stem cell research. It will be brought across from the mothballed site to this site in due course. However, the times have changed so dramatically that it was not helpful to direct people to the old site any more. Watch this space....
Now, post-iPS, our Blog aims to keep you up to date with the most relevant breaking news and commentary on this exciting field of science, ethics and politics. __________________________
